JHA undertook public consultation and provided support for the successful Round 1 NLHF submission
The University of Huddersfield owns an important set of archives relating to the social and industrial heritage of the town as well as its outstanding contemporary music history. The University wanted to make its archive more accessible on-site and online to the general public as well as creating an outstanding research resource.
Julia Holberry Associates, with Alis Templeton, worked with the University to define the scope of their project and collected evidence from the surrounding community and interest groups to investigate whether there is an interest in accessing archives that relate to their heritage. We went on to assist with the drafting of the successful Round 1 application, using the audience evidence gathered.
Elizabeth Oxborrow-Cowan wrote the Round 1 Conservation Statement and was invited back to write the Round 2 Conservation Management and Maintenance Plan.
