JHA advised the Trustees on the research needed and writing of the Round 1 application to restore their Grade I listed gardens
Westonbirt Gardens were built between 1840 and 1875 by Robert Stayner Holford who built Westonbirt House (now a girls’ school) and began Westonbirt Arboretum, now owned by the Forestry Commission and open to the public. The aim of the project was to restore and conserve the Gardens and its historic structures. JHA advised the Garden’s Trustees on providing the evidence of need, helping with an outline activity programme and general wording and advice for the NLHF form and backing documents.
Westonbirt received their Round 1 pass in October 2016
