JHA wrote an Activity Plan to bring Caledonian Park’s historic Clock Tower back to life
Caledonian Park is a remarkable place with a fascinating history that stretches back to at least the 17th century. It was an 18th century pleasure ground, a meeting place for political debate and protest demonstrations, a record-breaking running track, London’s main cattle market, a huge eclectic flea market that survives today as Bermondsey Market and lastly, a public park.
Julia Holberry Associates, together with Alison Porter, wrote the Activity Plan for the Clock Tower and consulted widely with the communities and schools surrounding the Park. The activity programme will see the Clock Tower open to the public with guided tours, with a full programme of events and trails for families and adults and a comprehensive set of activities for schools.
